How does the color mixer work?

The mixer interpolates between your two colors in OKLCH space, producing nine perceptually uniform midpoints. Each step looks like an even visual transition, not a muddy gray middle.

Why use OKLCH instead of RGB for mixing?

RGB blends often produce a dull, desaturated middle (especially red-to-blue). OKLCH blends preserve perceived chroma so the gradient stays vivid throughout.

How is mixing different from a gradient?
